MRT, Bangkok’s underground train, has extended its free travel on MRT Blue lines from Tao Poon to Bang Pho. What was previously due to end on the 15th of February is now continuing on until 29 March, 2020.
Metro and Bangkok Expressway are doing this under the initiative of helping Bangkok reduce its pollution levels, by encouraging the local communities to use more public transport and steer clear of using their cars.
The line operates from 10am to 4pm and 6pm to 12am and will keep going for free until the end of March 2020.
The Blue MRT line covers multiple attractions such as China town to Union Mall and even Chatujak market, one of the biggest markets in Asia. With a combination of this and a higher number of people visiting the area due to the free services provided by the Operator, the value of the district may rise, potentially creating an advantage for those who have invested in or are planning to make a property investment in the areas surrounding the Blue MRT Line.
